A Caribbean cruise vacation offers many different options. However, if you are looking for the best there is take the advice of those of have experienced many but always recommend, first and foremost, a Royal Caribbean cruise. From personal experience my memories of a seven night cruise on one of Royal Caribbean's cruise ships, the Heart of the Caribbean, were of absolute delight, laughter and adventure. I would not hesitate in recommending Royal Caribbean as the perfect cruise line on which to enjoy a cruise vacation. For the ultimate Caribbean cruise choose The Heart of the Caribbean and depart from San Juan in Puerto Rico for an eight day tour of the Caribbean. You can expect this cruise to offer you stunning Caribbean vistas and even includes a mini submarine excursion to Saint Thomas. You will also be treated to many other beautiful sights including the island of St Lucia. For guests onboard this ship there is never a dull moment and many wonderful destinations to visit. Your cruise itinerary schedules its first stop at Oranjestad the capital of Aruba. Oranjestad is like no other Caribbean island and its flavor is influenced by its early Dutch settlers. The architecture is, therefore, typically Dutch and guests will notice the Oranjestad's tall houses all painted in different colors, which lend a unique charm to this beautiful island. Aruba has much to offer its visitors including excellent beaches with facilities for snorkeling and other marine activities. By day the visitor can partake of the pleasures of wonderful unspoiled beaches. Nightlife in Oranjestad is bustling and fun offering plenty of restaurants and other venues for its guests to enjoy. Your best Caribbean cruise will then take you on to the largest island in the Dutch Antilles, Curacao. Your cruise will call into Willenstad and you will soon notice the remnants of the Dutch character that has created much of Curacao's character. Although Curacao gained its independence in 1954 it still retains much of the traditional Dutch feel that is inherited from its previous settlers. This island offers something different again and the tourist can take advantage of some of its unique physical features such as the underground lake at Hato Caves. Inside the caves there is evidence of early Indian tribes such as pictographs. The trip to Hato Caves is a wonderful experience and certainly recommended. Finally you will have the opportunity to visit the island of Saint Maarten, stopping at Phillipsburg. This island is touched by the influence of many different inhabitants. The first occupants of Saint Maarten where Spanish who later left the island in 1648. Saint Maarten was then plundered by Dutch and French soldiers. Eventually a decision was made by the French and the Dutch to divide the island and today it remains half Dutch and half French. Saint Maarten offers so much to its visitors, ranging from stunning beaches, sheer natural beauty and for those who love to shop, the ultimate destination. Cruising to these exclusive and desirable destinations are reason enough to make The Heart of the Caribbean the perfect cruise for everyone. |
